Organisation changes to prescribing and dispensing data

NHS Prescription Services provides a variety of prescribing and dispensing related information to NHS stakeholders.

The hierarchy in which the data is currently held has had changes made to it to reflect the new organisation structure effective from 1 April 2020, which will impact on the information which is provided from April 2020; and who will receive it.

Current structure 191 Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) will become 135 with the merger of 74 CCGs into 18 and 14 NHS England Local Offices will become 42 Sustainability and Transformation Partnership (STPs).

Data/reports and dashboards released within NHSBSA systems and access to NHSBSA systems will be mapped in the new structures with effect from the release of April 2020 data, due mid-June.

We will be contacting current registered users of ePACT2 and the Information Services Portal (ISP) to ask them which new NHS organisation they are working for, with effect from 1 April 2020.

This information will be used to facilitate the process of establishing access to our prescribing data systems under the new organisational structure and will not affect existing access.

If you require access to prescribing data after the 1 April 2020 and have not been contacted by 15th May 2020, please email us at nhsbsa.informationsystems@nhs.net with details of your new organisation and any change of contact details.
