Private Beta case study: Using 'invite to interview' for the first time

In February 2020, Private Beta partner, Park Road Medical Practice, used the 'invite to interview' functionality of the new NHS Jobs service for the first time.

This new release means an employer can now create an interview date and time for the amount of candidates they have, and will notify them to make a decision based on their availability or preference.

Here's what Sandra Dowling, Practice Manager at Park Road Medical Practice, had to say about their experience:

"As we are already using the service for creating vacancies and shortlisting applicants, we were very interested in trying out the latest functionality.

The interview creation was for a Medical Receptionist where 14 candidates were invited to interview with 13 choosing an interview date and time.

This process was very straight forward, easy-to-use and the system automatically sends an email to all candidates to choose an interview slot or decline an interview on a first come, first served basis. The interviews are planned for the end of February where we hope to hire a suitable candidate for the role.

We are always positively surprised with what’s going to happen next as the new NHS Jobs service is always improving each time we use it. This gives us the opportunity to share our experiences and feedback on how to help continually improve the service for all users."
