Provider Assurance General Practice Services: Seasonal Flu Post Payment Verification (PPV) Service Summary

Seasonal Flu PPV is facilitated by the NHSBSA on behalf of NHS England and payments are managed by Primary Care Services England (PCSE).

Who is Seasonal Flu PPV For?

Every year, seasonal flu vaccinations are provided to eligible people in England for free, by the NHS. The vaccinations are administered by a GP and payment for those vaccines can then be claimed by the practice. The NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) manages the Post Payment Verification of those flu vaccine claims.

Why is Seasonal Flu PPV Important?

By carrying out Seasonal Flu PPV, the NHSBSA can ensure claims made by practices administering Seasonal Flu vaccines are accurate and legitimate. By engaging with the service, ICBs can ensure practices in their area are receiving the correct level of reimbursement.
