Dynamo 20 brought together the region's leading and growing tech and software companies, local councils, specialist professional services, Universities, Colleges and other related industries to highlight how the North East 'collaborated for success’ and addressed ever present challenges from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Lisa Moran, Head of Digital Services, NHSBSA joined a panel hosted by BBC’s Charlie Charlton and including speakers from Newcastle University and North East Commissioning Support, to share her experiences of delivering vital services at pace as part of the NHS nationwide response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Kirste Worland, Head of Applications Helen O’Donnell, Data Visualisation Developer and Phil Stephenson, Lead Platform Engineer addressed the challenges of attracting and retaining talented people. They shared their approach and how they have created a career pathway that really works. Both sessions were popular and ended with busy Q & A sessions.
Dynamo is a volunteer led group made up of tech organisations, large corporate employers in the region, consultants, technology hubs, education providers, local government, and suppliers to the industry, with the core mission to ‘Grow the North East Tech Economy’ through collaboration, innovation, skills.
