enei awards 2019

NHS Business Services Authority celebrated as a champion of equality and inclusion

NHS Business Service Authority (NHSBSA) has been awarded Gold Standard Employer status at the 2019 Employers Network for Equality & Inclusion (enei) Awards last night.

Taking place at the Law Society in London, the enei Annual Awards celebrate organisations that commit to achieving a diverse and inclusive workplace.

They provide a great opportunity for leading employers to showcase the innovative ways in which they have tackled prejudice, challenged discrimination in the workplace and worked inclusively to tap into their talented workforce.

The Gold Standard is only awarded to the very top performing organisations in TIDEmark (Talent, Inclusion and Diversity Evaluation). The TIDEmark allows organisations to measure progress in equality, diversity and inclusion practice both year-on-year and in comparison with their peers. .

Mark Dibble, Executive Director of Corporate Services at NHSBSA said: “This is a wonderful achievement and it is testament to our commitment to be a diverse and inclusive organisation, where all of our colleagues can be themselves.”

“We couldn’t have achieved this without the hard work, energy and enthusiasm of our fantastic Wellbeing and Inclusion staff networks, who play an important part of making the NHSBSA a great place to work”, added Jane Miller, NHSBSA’s Head of Wellbeing and Inclusion. “We’ve also been shortlisted for the Wellbeing and Disability Confident awards.”

The Employers Network for Equality and Inclusion (enei) is the leading employer network promoting equality and inclusion in the workplace. Their role is to influence government, business and trade unions, campaigning for real practical change.

Denise Keating, chief executive of enei, commented: “The enei Annual Awards recognise the commitment of organisations to achieving diverse and inclusive workplaces, celebrating the teams and individuals who really are making a difference.

“We have been encouraged by the steps organisations have taken to promote equality and diversity and hope this will encourage other companies to follow their lead. We are delighted that so many organisations are prepared to publicly share best practice and are delighted to be able to recognise the innovative work they are doing.”
