NHS Business Services Authority recognised at the Dynamo North East Awards 2020
NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) wins Tech for Good at the Dynamites 20 Awards, which celebrates the rising stars of the region’s growing tech sector.
Industry experts from across the Digital and Technology sectors attended the Dynamites 20 Awards last week, hosted by actor Daymon Britton and organised by Dynamo North East. The virtual ceremony was held on Wednesday, October 14 and many of this year’s winners had a COVID-19 connection, recognising the region’s important involvement in the fight against the virus.
NHSBSA were pleased to be shortlisted in 4 categories and delighted to win the Tech for Good Award for its SMS test messaging service, established at the height of the pandemic to enable the most vulnerable groups in society to receive vital communications.
Lisa Moran, Head of Digital Services said: “I am delighted that we won the Tech for Good award. It acknowledges the hard work and team commitment delivered to support and protect vulnerable people during COVID-19. So simple in its ambition but complex in its multi-agency execution, the SMS text messaging service has provided powerful data to help drive both operational and clinical decision making during the COVID-19 pandemic"
Darren Curry, Chief Digital Officer added: “The NHSBSA is proud to be part of the Dynamo North East community, to be recognised by our industry peers for our work, and to acknowledge the great achievements not just of the winners but all of those shortlisted.”
Charlie Hoult, Dynamo chair, said: “Our seventh annual awards were very different from previous events, but were great fun, and attracted more entries than ever before. Importantly, they recognised the innovation and endeavour of north east companies, teams and organisations on the frontline against COVID-19.”
