NHSBSA to launch the 2021/22 Community Pharmacy Assurance Framework (CPAF) screening questionnaire

The NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) will launch the 2021/22 Community Pharmacy Assurance Framework (CPAF) screening questionnaire on Monday 28 June 2021.

NHS England and Improvement has made some changes to this year’s CPAF questions. The questions from last year’s CPAF under clinical governance, pharmacy-based audit, and training and performance management have been removed. Three new questions have been added covering the promotion of healthy living, the pharmacy premises and privacy, and community pharmacy staffing with some slight changes to other questions.

Completion of the CPAF screening questionnaire is a mandatory requirement for each community pharmacy in England. Pharmacies will have until 11.59pm on Saturday 24 July 2021 to submit their responses.

Users of the NHSBSA’s Manage Your Service (MYS) portal will be able to complete this year’s CPAF by logging in. Contractors who are not yet signed up to MYS will be able to complete the questionnaire online. Full details have been sent to contractors’ shared pharmacy inboxes today, Monday 28 June.

A copy of the 2021/22 questionnaire has been made available on the NHSBSA website to view in advance of the go-live date on our Community Pharmacy Assurance Framework page.
