NHS Business Services Authority shortlisted in two categories at the Data-Driven Leader Awards

The NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) has been recognised for its brilliance in data-driven leadership at the Data-Driven Leader Awards.

The NHSBSA Data Science team is shortlisted for the Data-Driven Public Sector Champion category and the Data-Driven Social Good category for making a difference and inspiring others through the Child Health Insights initiative. The project identified actionable insights from NHSBSA Primary Care and Citizen Services data to help reduce health inequalities for children and young people.

Nadine Morrisroe, Head of Data Science, Advanced Analytics & Statistics at the NHSBSA, said: “The team has collaborated extensively with colleagues in the NHSBSA and wider healthcare system to deliver actionable insights to support decision making and improvements in the health of children and young people. These insights can be used across the healthcare system to support targeted actions to reduce healthcare inequalities for children and young people, demonstrating the value of a data driven approach and using data for social good. We are thrilled to have been shortlisted for these awards.”

Created by Corndel, the leading strategic workplace training provider, the awards are the first industry awards to celebrate inspirational leaders and managers who combine great leadership skills and an innovative data-led approach.

James Kelly, co-founder and CEO of Corndel, said: “The future of leadership is data-driven. We’ve created these new awards to celebrate the data champions who have embraced this new era – people who have used innovative approaches to integrating data into their roles with impactful results, people who have inspired others to be more data-driven, and people who have used data to make a transformational social impact. Congratulations to our shortlisted entrants and we wish them the best of luck for the awards night!”

The Data-Driven Leaders Awards ceremony will take place in May 2024.
