NHSBSA releases more free CPD events for dispensing opticians in England
The NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) is offering dispensing opticians in England one free point towards their Continuous Professional Development (CPD).
The NHSBSA has been delivering CPD events since May 2022. Now, due to demand, the NHSBSA is advertising three new dates. Dispensing opticians can sign up to the virtual events which will run on Tuesday 20 December 2022 at 7pm, Monday 9 January 2023 at 7pm, and Tuesday 17 January 2023 at 7pm.
Each session is run by the NHSBSA’s clinical advisors and will provide one CPD point under the leadership and accountability domain.
The content of the sessions will cover the appropriate use of re-test codes and the frequency of sight test recalls. The clinical advisors, who support the NHSBSA’s Provider Assurance service, will use specific case studies during the event to demonstrate appropriate claiming across different patient circumstances.
Dispensing opticians can sign up to the events online. Each event will last one hour.
