NHSBSA to host online ophthalmic services webinar for ICBs
As Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) take on delegated commissioning responsibility for NHS primary care services, the NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) is hosting a series of online events.
Starting with Delegated Responsibility and Ophthalmic Services Masterclasses in July and August, the webinars are designed to help ICBs understand the mandated and extra support that the NHSBSA has to offer.
The NHSBSA’s Provider Assurance team will be working with ICBs to help improve patient care, save money, and free up commissioner capacity across NHS Pharmacy, Ophthalmic and Dental services.
Laura Marshall, Service Portfolio Lead for Provider Assurance (Ophthalmic and Dental) at the NHSBSA, said: “We’re delighted to be able to support ICBs and we’ve set up these sessions so that we can really hit the ground running. The masterclasses will include anonymised real life scenarios about how we can help ICBs, an opportunity to discuss any challenges, and guidance on how the assurance services procedures will operate. Plus topics including contract management, data collection and maintenance, payment processing and post payment verification, quality assurance, and data and insight.”
The sessions are targeted at ICB colleagues including:
- Contract and commissioning leads
- Strategy and transformation leads
- Primary care leads
- Quality leads
- Business intelligence and performance leads
